Nugget: Three Months

Nugget 3 Months (1 of 7)

Lincoln is now three months old. He is getting so big! We just love having him in our little family. Goober is starting to play with him and think he is kinda okay to have around. It is great to watch these two interact with each other. Nugget finally fits into his matching jammies. Head over to my Instagram to check out the adorable picture of them in their penguin jammies. Nugget: Two Months

Nugget 2 Months (5 of 7)

I can’t believe it’s been two months! This little dude feels like he’s been a part of our family for much longer than that. I’m still so in awe at how much joy and love he brings to our family. We gave him a baby blessing Sunday at church. To learn more about my beliefs click here. His father gave him the blessing and it was so wonderful. All of Andy’s brothers were there and my brothers-in law as well as both of our fathers and one of my uncles. Watching all of those men walk up to the front of the chapel to hold our precious son was overwhelming. It’s very comforting to know these men have the power of God to bless our lives. I’m extremely grateful for it in my life and know the power is real. Click through to see a few pictures from the blessing and more of him too. Continue reading

Lincoln Hugh Mecham: A Birth Story

Lincoln Birth Story (12 of 8)

Yesterday marks one month since my little Nugget was born. Since newborns basically eat and sleep all day, I decided to share his birth story instead of talk about all his milestones. But, I will share that we have been successfully nursing. I am extremely happy about it! With his big brother it didn’t work out (he never figured out how to latch or even try to latch, very discouraging) so I was an exclusive pumper with him. I made it six months before my supply decreased greatly. To read why I think that happened click here. Okay, now on to the actual birth story. Continue reading

Happy News

We are elated to have a new baby join our little family. My due date is August 20th, 2015. Late summer baby! So far I haven’t been very sick, aside from the flu hitting our whole family over the holidays. I would compare my morning sickness to what I had with Goober. Maybe that means it’s another boy! Goober keeps pointing at my “not so pregnant looking” belly and saying  “Baby?” Like the baby is coming soon. It’s so cute. I’ll be posting some belly pictures soon. I know I’m not good enough to keep up with it every week so it might be every 2-4 weeks that we get new pictures. I’ll keep you updated on how the pregnancy is going, and for sure do another announcement when we find out the gender. I hope you all have a happy day! 😀

He Is The Gift

I was thinking this morning that Christmas is such a wonderful way to mark time. My mind wandered back to Christmases past. I thought of many years ago when I was a little girl and my first Christmas as a married woman. All of these memories are cherished and dear to me. I thought I’d share a few with you today. Bright Addition

I am into this light and airy decorating mood. When someone mentioned it was just a “summer thing” I had to remind myself that I truly love the color white. I love the way it brightens up a room or helps lighten the mood in a space. This table was a gift from Andy’s parents for our wedding. It was his family’s while he was growing up. He has 3 brothers… So needless to say it had some wear and tear. Literally. I have been so grateful for a free table and have loved having it in our home. However, I’m starting to realize how “poor college student-y” our home feels. So I decided I could totally DIY this thing and reclaim a little peace of mind about our furniture. Continue reading

Bug 1st Birthday Party-14

Parker turned 1 on April 4th. Seriously? I cannot believe Bug is that old. I remember his birth like it was yesterday. His birthday was on a Friday so it was easier for my parents to travel the distance to come celebrate with us. We just did a little BBQ and cake & ice cream with Bug’s extended family. He loved the attention and was so happy to see all the loving faces around to celebrate with him. Continue reading
